Summary Description
The Middle School team leader coordinates and manages the operations of a grade level team. Responsibilities include facilitating, collaborating with all stakeholders, analyzing data, promoting student and parent engagement, and participating on the Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
- Facilitate and coordinate the grade level instructional program
- Collaborate with teachers across grade level teams
- Analyze grade level and individual student achievement data
- Promote and facilitate student and parent engagement
- Participate on the Leadership Team to ensure school initiatives are implemented
Requirements
- Knowledge of grade level curriculum, assessment, and instruction
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching
- Understanding of the middle school child
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Strong technology skills
- Knowledge of and understanding of master schedule
- Knowledge of Baldrige tools and practices
- Outstanding facilitation, organizational, and management skills
- Excellent oral, written communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of and application of the six performance standards for the Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) Teacher Professional Growth System (TPGS)
Qualifications
- Holds a master's degree or equivalent in semester hours of credit
- Has at least three years of outstanding teaching experience, with one year of MCPS teaching experience preferred
- Experience teaching in middle school
- Excellent skills in working effectively with people

Pay
The wage range for this position is a salary between $66,690 and $135,745 based on education and experience.
Schedule
This is a full-time position with 10 months of employment.
Working Months
This job includes required summer days for which you will be compensated at your regular rate of pay.
