Summary Description

This paraeducator performs a variety of tasks to promote student learning and well-being, supporting students with Individualized Education Programs (IEP). Tasks include assisting with academic, behavioral, social, emotional, and physical support, attending to student personal care and medical needs, and participating in learning activities off-campus. The paraeducator facilitates mastery of grade-level curriculum or Alternate Academic Achievement Standards, often in specialized instructional settings.

Physical Demands

• Frequent bending, walking, kneeling, running, and lifting of objects/equipment up to 50 pounds may be required.

Special Requirements

• Frequent overtime or night work required, as well as outside duty.
• Must be able to accommodate flexible scheduling and changes in location and/or program.

Job Specific Information

• Paraeducator Level II, Special Education- PEP (3 Hrs), Paraeductor- 6701, Level I (2 Hrs), & Lunch Recess Aide (2 Hrs), Burnt Mills ES, Total 7 hrs.
• This school is a Title I school.

Qualifications

• Unofficial university transcript with 48+ credits OR
• If your degree or credits were attained from outside the United States, provide an official transcript evaluated by an approved agency OR
• Unofficial ParaPro Assessment result with a passing score.

Wage Range

The wage range for this position is between $24.38 and $36.67 per hour, based on years of service.
