About the role
The Mentor Assistant will support program staff with management of a youth mentoring program.
Responsibilities
- Data entry of mentoring attendance
- Collaborate with program staff to recruit mentors
- Oversee community partner activity sessions with youth
- Create engaging activities for mentee engagement
- Assist with community outreach and family engagement
Requirements
- Current University of La Verne student with Federal Work Study eligibility for the 2026-2027 academic year
- Ability to work collaboratively in a highly interactive environment
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter who takes initiative
- Reliable transportation to and from George Brown Elementary in San Bernardino
Pay
$23.00 per hour
Schedule
- Days: Monday through Friday
- Times: Between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM
- Hybrid/Remote: Possibility of some remote work on Mondays and Tuesdays
