About the role
The FairKids Assistant(s) will assist the Field Trip Coordinator and volunteers in supporting The FairKids Field Trips event preparations.
Responsibilities
- Communicate clearly with Fair goers and other guests
- Stand and walk for extended periods of time, stoop, and climb ladders and stairs
- Lift at least 25lbs and carry it for extended distances
- Maintain a friendly disposition to field trip participants, including children, youth, and their teachers
- Stay focused on delegated work while taking instruction and initiative to complete assigned tasks
Requirements
- Willingness to work outdoors, including in extreme weather conditions (heat, rain, cold)
- Reliable transportation to and from work site
Preferred Qualifications
- Enthusiasm about education
- Excellent follow-through in completing tasks
Pay
$18.00 per hour
Schedule
8 hours per week, with a schedule agreed upon between the employee and the Field Trip Coordinator (may include weekends).
