Major Job Duties And Responsibilities

  • Product requirements definition
  • Conceptual design of products
  • 3D CAD design of products and systems
  • 2D documentation (GD&T preferred)
  • Prototyping of designs (3D print, CNC, hand assembly, etc.)
  • Testing of prototypes and competitor devices
  • Engineering analysis: material selection, tolerance analysis, process selection, DFM and DFA

Education And Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an engineering focused field
  • Bachelor's Degree in ME/MET preferred, or equivalent experience
  • Consumer, automotive, and medical product development experience a plus

Required Skills

  • 3D modeling (Autodesk Inventor, SolidWorks, Fusion 360, etc.)
  • Proficient with prototyping techniques, 3D printing, machining, etc.
  • Familiarity with plastic and metal manufacturing methods
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with simulation tools such as FEA
  • Experience working with overseas vendors
  • Surface modeling experience
  • Experience with manufacturing ramps and tooling tryouts
  • Experience with electromechanical systems
  • Experience working with electrical, software, and firmware teams
