Furniture Repair Technician

Our Furniture Repair Technician in Training Program trains associates to fully repair furniture for customers, including stitching upholstery, repairing wood and leather, or fixing mechanisms in motion furniture. Training takes place in our service centers and lasts 7-12 weeks, with monetary growth based on skill completion. The program includes five levels of craftsmanship techniques to master color, finishes, upholstery, leather, and structure repair.
About the role
The Furniture Repair Technician in Training is a hands-on program designed for individuals who enjoy working with tools and want to develop skills in furniture repair. This role offers a path to a rewarding career with opportunities for growth.
Responsibilities
- Lift, lower, push, and pull furniture of all sizes, up to and exceeding 100 lbs
- Perform repairs on upholstery, leather, wood, and mechanical parts of furniture
- Mix paints, powders, and stains to match existing finishes
- Set up and operate tools such as power drills, sanders, saws, and other repair equipment
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and professionalism
- Work both independently and collaboratively with a team
Requirements
- Comfort working with hands and an aptitude for craftsmanship, artistic, or carpentry services
- Ability to repair, replace, and rebuild damaged leather, upholstery, or mechanical parts
- Excellent listening skills
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship (visa sponsorship not available)
