Funeral Director/Embalmer

We are seeking a Funeral Director/Embalmer to join our team of dedicated professionals who provide meaningful celebrations of life and a peaceful environment for family reflection.

Responsibilities

• Meets with client families to listen and arrange personalized memorial services.
• Ensures timely and appropriate document filling in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
• Counsels clients and conducts and attends services regularly.
• Maintains open and effective communication and accurate, up-to-date client files.
• Utilizes proprietary software for merchandise options, contracts, and necessary forms.
• Learns and implements company-provided training.
• Participates in events alongside community groups and/or organizations.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Funeral Director.
• A valid Funeral Director License and/or the ability to obtain licenses or application by endorsement in the state where business is located.
• Demonstrated willingness to grow the market through community involvement.
• A valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• The duties associated with this position are generally performed in an indoor office setting, but some may be performed outdoors.
• Outdoor duties may involve exposure to natural elements such as inclement weather, extreme temperatures, uneven ground, dust, gas, and/or fumes.
• Must have sufficient strength and manual dexterity to perform tasks.
• May be required to lift up to 100 pounds.
• Routine exposure to chemicals and/or blood borne pathogens.
• Must be able to drive a company vehicle and maintain a good driving record.
