Carriage Services is a funeral home dedicated to creating premier experiences through innovation, partnership, and service. We are seeking a Funeral Director/Embalmer to join our team of dedicated professionals who provide meaningful celebrations of life and a peaceful environment for family reflection.
Responsibilities
- Meets with client families to listen and arrange personalized memorial services.
- Ensures timely and appropriate document filling in accordance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Counsels clients and conducts and attends services regularly.
- Maintains open and effective communication and accurate, up-to-date client files.
- Utilizes proprietary software for merchandise options, contracts, and necessary forms.
- Learns and implements company-provided training.
- Participates in events alongside community groups and/or organizations.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 1-2 years of experience as a Funeral Director.
- A valid Funeral Director License and/or the ability to obtain licenses or application by endorsement in the state where business is located.
- Demonstrated willingness to grow the market through community involvement.
- A valid state-issued driver’s license in good standing and acceptable driving record.
Physical Requirements and Work Environment
- The duties associated with this position are generally performed in an indoor office setting, but some may be performed outdoors.
- Outdoor duties may involve exposure to natural elements such as inclement weather, extreme temperatures, uneven ground, dust, gas, and/or fumes.
- Must have sufficient strength and manual dexterity to perform tasks.
- May be required to lift up to 100 pounds.
- Routine exposure to chemicals and/or blood borne pathogens.
- Must be able to drive a company vehicle and maintain a good driving record.
