Job Responsibilities
- Arranges calls to deceased next of kin and confirms contact information.
- Schedules Arrangement appointments and emails confirmations.
- Performs removals or transfers as needed, adhering to company standards.
- Greets next of kin and escorts them to meeting spaces.
- Facilitates Arrangements Conferences, discussing needs and desired outcomes.
- Promotes funeral, cemetery, and crematory services and merchandise.
- Transitions Arrangements Conferences to Funeral Services Counselor/Advisor roles.
- Directs Services, presiding over visitation, funeral, or graveside services.
- Visually inspects deceased and adjusts casket dressing or communicates concerns.
- Ensures compliance with contractual arrangements and family expectations.
- Performs event planning responsibilities, including resource planning and ordering.
- Prepares event rooms and cleans up after events.
- May perform attendant duties such as parking lot attendant, driver, usher, pallbearer, or courier.
- May attend community or charity events to represent the location or market.
Requirements
- Graduated from an accredited school or college of mortuary science.
- Current Funeral Director license within the practicing state.
- Valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Industry experience is preferred.

Work Conditions:
- Environment: Both indoors and outdoors during all seasons and weather.
- Attire: Professional business attire required when in contact with families.
- Postures: Frequent continuous periods of sitting or standing up to 6 hours per day; frequent climbing stairs.
- Physical Demands: Requires manual dexterity for paperwork, calculators, computers, and phones.
Hours: Flexibility of availability may be necessary due to services occurring outside of normal business hours and working nights and weekends frequently.
