About the organisation
LGBT Health and Wellbeing was established in 2003 to improve the health and wellbeing of LGBTQ+ people across Scotland. We are a national charity providing support services and community spaces that help people stay well, reduce isolation, and feel more connected. We are recognised as a trusted and credible voice on LGBTQ+ health and wellbeing, particularly in areas such as mental health, trans wellbeing, and the experiences of LGBTQ+ elders. At the heart of our work is a simple aim: a Scotland where LGBTQ+ people thrive, no matter who we are.
About the role
We’re looking for an experienced fundraiser to help us grow and diversify our income at an important time for LGBT Health and Wellbeing. Demand for our services continues to grow, whilst the funding environment is becoming increasingly challenging. We have ambitious plans for the future, and building a stronger, more sustainable income base is essential to making those plans a reality.
As our Fundraising and Partnerships Manager, you’ll take a hands-on role in securing significant funding, with a particular focus on trusts and foundations and corporate partnerships. You’ll build relationships with funders and supporters, identify new opportunities, and develop compelling proposals that help us secure the resources needed to support LGBTQ+ communities across Scotland. You’ll also provide leadership and line management to our Fundraising and Partnerships Coordinator, supporting them to grow our individual giving programme and build a stronger base of regular donors. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you’ll play an important role in shaping our fundraising approach, taking ownership of income targets, and developing a strong pipeline of opportunities for the future.
