Fundraising Director, Walk to End Alzheimer's

Walk to End Alzheimer’s® is the second‑largest peer‑to‑peer fundraising walk in the United States. The Director, Walk to End Alzheimer’s will lead the Harrisburg, Lancaster, York and Gettysburg walks, driving revenue goals through corporate and community volunteer engagement.

Responsibilities

• Build sustainable corporate and community relationships that contribute to organizational and revenue goals.
• Provide positive engagement with volunteers through coaching, recognition, and accountability.
• Lead fundraising programs for mass‑market and special events, meeting or exceeding revenue goals.
• Recruit, manage, and coach volunteers to implement best practices and achieve fundraising targets.
• Foster an inclusive team environment that promotes long‑term community and volunteer relationships.
• Manage volunteer‑led large‑scale events, delivering year‑over‑year revenue growth.
• Achieve designated financial and participant goals via team and individual fundraising, corporate solicitation, and community partnerships.
• Prospect, cultivate, and steward sponsors, teams, and participants.
• Oversee event budgets, train volunteers, manage timelines, and translate data.

Key Educational / Professional Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of proven experience recruiting and mobilizing volunteers and community leaders in a peer‑to‑peer fundraising environment, or 5–7 years of successful sales target achievement.
• 1–3 years of experience managing staff and/or volunteers.
• Events management experience, preferably with large‑scale community engagement events.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Demonstrated management skills: set clear goals, organize projects, establish and manage budgets, and create accountability processes.
• Proven track record of developing strategies to identify, recruit, and engage high‑level and C‑suite volunteer leadership.
• Strong volunteer‑management abilities, including goal setting, priority identification, project organization, budgeting, and accountability.
• Ability to build sustainable corporate and community relationships that drive revenue.
• Collaborative team player with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
• Willingness to travel up to 50 % within South Central PA (mostly same‑day, occasional overnight or air travel); valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, good driving record, and proof of insurance required.
• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
• Physical ability to bend, stoop, lift, and transport up to 25 lb.
• Strong computer skills: proficient with Google Suite, Microsoft Office, social media; ability to quickly learn Luminate/Convio.

Pay

Salary range: $65,000 – $75,000, with a performance‑based incentive opportunity up to $13,000 depending on portfolio size and quarterly goal achievement.

Schedule

Full‑time position (minimum 37.5 hours per week). Travel up to 50 % of the time, including evenings and weekends as required.
