Join a high-performing team responsible for implementing Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, the world’s largest fundraiser for Alzheimer’s care, support, and research; Do What You Love to End ALZ, a signature event and one of the fastest-growing campaigns; and Relationship Events/Gala initiatives. Walk to End Alzheimer’s® ranks as the second-largest peer-to-peer fundraising event in the U.S. and continues to grow rapidly. Do What You Love to End ALZ leads with innovation, engaging diverse audiences—from golfers and hikers to live streamers and bridge players—in the fight to end Alzheimer’s.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the successful implementation of Walk to End Alzheimer’s®, Do What You Love to End ALZ, and Gala initiatives to meet or exceed revenue goals through staff training, coaching, and mentoring.
  • Recruit, empower, and manage volunteers to execute best practices in fundraising, with a focus on peer-to-peer initiatives.
  • Develop and execute strategies for team and individual fundraising, corporate sponsorships, and community partnerships.
  • Provide inspirational leadership to a team of professional development staff, fostering a positive, inclusive, and results-driven environment.
  • Build sustainable corporate and community relationships to achieve revenue goals, increase participation, and enhance brand awareness.
  • Manage multiple volunteer-led mass-market events simultaneously, ensuring year-over-year revenue growth.
  • Prospect, cultivate, and steward event teams, sponsors, and participants to drive engagement and fundraising success.
  • Oversee event budgets, timelines, and milestones, using data to optimize outcomes.
  • Travel up to 50% within the assigned territory (primarily same-day travel; occasional overnight or air travel may be required).
  • Work evenings and weekends as needed for event execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5–7 years of proven experience recruiting and mobilizing volunteers and community leaders, preferably in a peer-to-peer fundraising environment, or successful experience leading a team to meet sales targets.
  • Demonstrated management skills, including goal-setting, project organization, budget management, and accountability processes.
  • Experience supervising and managing staff, including onboarding, training, and development.
  • Proven track record of building sustainable corporate and community relationships to achieve organizational and revenue goals.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategies for identifying, recruiting, and engaging high-level and C-Suite volunteer leadership.
  • Enthusiasm for working with diverse communities and building an inclusive environment.
  • Valid driver’s license, access to a reliable vehicle, good driving record, and proof of automobile insurance.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, lift, and transport up to 25 lbs of materials.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and social media; experience with or ability to rapidly learn Luminate/Convio software.

Pay

The salary range for this role is $115,000 – $130,000.

Schedule

  • Full-time position based on 37.5 hours per week.
  • Evening and weekend work required for events.
  • Up to 50% travel within the assigned territory (primarily same-day; occasional overnight or air travel).
