Duties and Responsibilities
- Works in a fast-paced environment, overseeing multiple projects while acting as a key liaison between Cambrian College and many donors and alumni across the globe.
- Foster a strong relationship with the College’s communications department, sharing relevant and timely details that support the college-wide communications strategy.
- Oversee the fundraising efforts connected to various alumni and development events and initiatives and are responsible for soliciting support at the $15,000 and under levels.
- Oversee the Peer-to-Peer and auction-based fundraising programs (implementing year-round promotional strategies, developing participant online landing pages).
- Oversee the Employee Giving Program including solicitations, reporting promotion, and related events/initiatives.
- Research, plan, and coordinate special events for Cambrian alumni and/or current students to promote a Cambrian affinity (e.g., alumni speakers for convocation, open house participants, international alumni panel events).
- Ensure donors receive recognition appropriate to their giving level, including thank-you cards, milestone postcards, impact reports, calls from College Representatives, social media acknowledgments, and tokens of appreciation.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-year diploma or equivalent in communications, public relations, marketing, or event management.
- Minimum of 2 years experience within the events, communications, fundraising, and/or service sectors.
- Self-directed individual with the ability to balance multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent customer service, communication, and analytical skills.
- Collaborative and dynamic professional who promotes teamwork and works cohesively within a team-oriented environment.
