What You’ll Do
- Review wire instructions and invoices
- Verify settlement statements, endorsements, and wire instructions
- Collapse receipt and release of loan proceeds via wire or check in compliance with firm and banker requirements
- Track and confirm wires in accordance with firm security protocols
- Communicate effectively with escrow accounts, closers, and internal teams regarding funding status and conditions
- Resolve funding issues, discrepancies, and last-minute changes under tight deadlines
- Escalate critical issues or delays to management in a timely and professional manner
- Manage a high volume of same-day and next-day fundings while maintaining accuracy
- Absorb workload based on lender funding cut-off times and closing schedules
- Prioritize daily productivity and quality standards established by the firm
- Adhere to state-specific residential real estate, trust accounting, and wiring procedures
- Maintain accurate and complete funding records within the firm’s case management and accounting systems
What You’ll Need
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- One to two years of experience in residential real estate funding, closing, post-closing, or mortgage operations
- Experience working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment
- A strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
- The ability to handle sensitive financial and personal information with discretion
- A compliance mindset with the ability to maintain accuracy under time constraints
- Knowledge of state-specific (NC, SC, and GA) real estate closing and funding practices (a plus but not required)
