  • Reconcile collateral values supplied by clients against the last known values in FFSD’s collateral‑management database.
  • Place and manage facility blocks in the event of collateral shortfalls.
  • Liaise with and escalate issues to deal coverage and loan operations teams.
  • Help prepare internal and external presentations for senior stakeholders and regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of basic corporate finance, banking, and accounting.
  • Familiarity with corporate banking, bank regulations, risk and compliance factors, and regulatory matters (a plus).

Skills

  • Inherent pride in one’s work.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Desire for continued learning.
  • Experience with Microsoft product suite, especially Excel.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all levels across the organization.
  • Ability to multi‑task and prioritize effectively to meet strict, competing deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Highly collaborative and flexible in team and client environments; ability to form good relationships with related parties.

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $85,000.00 and $100,000.00. The specific salary offered will be based on the applicant’s qualifications, experience, and an analysis of current compensation in their geography and the market for similar roles at the time of hire. The role may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive award.

Schedule

SMBC operates a hybrid workforce model that allows employees to work from home as well as from an SMBC office. Employees are required to live within a reasonable commuting distance of their office location. Specific hybrid work schedules will be discussed during the interview process. Hybrid work may not be permitted for certain roles (e.g., some FINRA‑registered positions that require full‑time in‑office attendance). SMBC provides reasonable accommodations during the candidacy process for applicants with disabilities consistent with applicable federal, state, and local law; requests can be sent to accommodations@smbcgroup.com.
