About the role

The Portfolio Management Analyst plays a crucial role in enabling data-driven portfolio decisions by connecting Global Product Brand Teams with regional planning functions and commercial organizations. This role involves analyzing portfolio and supply chain performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities, and translating complex data into clear executive insights and recommended actions.

Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end monthly Portfolio Management Review (PMR) analytics and PowerPoint deck development process, including data collection, validation, synthesis, storyline development, executive-ready visuals, and distribution of supporting materials.
  • Analyze portfolio performance across brands, regions, product lines, and planning horizons; identify meaningful trends, variances, outliers, risks, and opportunities that require management attention.
  • Translate large and complex data sets into concise business narratives, clear recommendations, and actionable metrics that help leaders understand what changed, why it changed, and what action is required.
  • Develop and maintain standardized KPI views, scorecards, dashboards, and presentation templates to improve consistency, comparability, and efficiency across monthly reviews.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis, scenario modeling, and what-if assessments to evaluate portfolio choices, timing changes, demand shifts, item productivity, and process impacts.
  • Partner with Global Brand Teams, regional planning, commercial teams, Finance, Product Development, and Sourcing to understand business challenges, challenge assumptions constructively, and drive alignment on decisions and follow-up actions.
  • Lead or support strategic initiatives that improve Portfolio Management and S&OP processes, including defining requirements, documenting workflows, measuring outcomes, and managing implementation milestones.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Analytics to validate data, perform user acceptance testing, improve dashboard usability, and increase adoption and understanding of reporting tools.
  • Use approved AI and automation tools responsibly to accelerate research, data preparation, quality checks, meeting summaries, and presentation development while applying sound judgment, protecting confidential information, and validating outputs before use.
  • Maintain action logs and decision records from PMR sessions, monitor follow-through, and escalate unresolved risks or dependencies when appropriate.

Highly proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, with strong capability in slide architecture, chart selection, visual hierarchy, and communicating complex information clearly to senior stakeholders.

Practical proficiency with generative AI and productivity tools for analysis, research, summarization, and content development, including effective prompting, output validation, data privacy awareness, and responsible-use practices.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages for technical, operational, and executive audiences.

Able to collaborate cross-functionally, build trust, influence without direct authority, and constructively challenge stakeholders to drive decisions and accountability.
