Work on the cutting edge of AI, on your own schedule, and get paid for the legal judgment you already bring to fund documents. The AI systems everyone is talking about are trained and tested by real legal experts. The teams building them need funds attorneys to develop challenging examples involving investment fund contracts, assess the AI's treatment of legal source materials, produce the answer a practitioner would give, and spell out any shortcomings. Your legal judgment helps shape the next generation of AI models. This is that work, done remotely around your current practice.

Responsibilities

  • Compare AI answers on investment fund contracts with the relevant legal materials and project guidelines
  • Draft expert answers on investment fund contracts or revise them when needed
  • Set out the reasoning behind your legal calls, then give the project feedback it can use
  • Apply the same quality standard throughout repeated review tasks

Benefits

  • Get the equivalent of $90–$180 an hour while building real AI skills alongside your current job
  • Work directly with frontier AI tools and see how they are built, tested and improved — experience most funds attorneys will not have for years
  • Build a career edge for what comes next: AI is reshaping legal work, and the attorneys who understand it from the inside will lead that change
  • Fully remote, fully flexible, no minimum shift, no commute

Requirements

  • A J.D. earned at an ABA-accredited law school; active admission to the bar in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
  • At least two years' experience working in a corporate law firm's funds department, plus familiarity with standard M&A agreements such as LPAs, subscription agreements or side letters
  • Professional fluency in English; exceptional ability to communicate in writing and verbally; strong analytical skills; meticulous attention to detail
  • No AI experience needed — you bring the expertise; we bring the training on the tools

Pay

$90–$180 per hour equivalent; pay is per accepted task, as an independent contractor.

Schedule

About 20 hours a week, you choose when; fully remote, United States.
