Fund Accountant III
About the role
Are you ready to be part of something more? You’re more than a means to an end—a way to help us meet the bottom line. UMB isn’t comprised of workers, but of people who care about their work, one another and their community. Expect more than the status quo. At UMB, you can expect more heart. You’ll be valued for exactly who you are and encouraged to support causes you care about. Expect more trust. We want you to do the right thing, no matter what. And, expect more opportunity. UMBers are known for having multiple careers here and having their voices heard.
As part of Institutional Banking, the Fund Accounting team supports the company by ensuring client’s net asset values are accurate and timely. These are processed daily and needed for shareholders as it allows them to buy in or sell out of funds they are invested in. As a Fund Accountant, you will calculate the net asset value daily. Opportunities for growth within the position are based on associate performance and time within the department. Seasoned associates will be responsible for more complex mutual funds with larger variety of investment types. Associates can expect to manage 5-7 funds daily while moving toward a Sr Fund Accountant. The team works hard but in a fun, relaxed environment where the dress code is casual. Associates will complete tasks individually but still have a team around them to offer support when needed. An inclusive environment where senior leaders go out of their way to meet new associates.
