About the role
Citi’s Internal Audit division provides independent assessments of the company’s governance, risk management and internal control environment for key stakeholders including the Board of Directors, senior management and Citi’s numerous regulators globally. Internal Audit is a change agent within Citi aimed to enhance the control culture of Citi worldwide and thereby support senior management decision making around the globe.
Program overview
Citi’s Internal Audit Summer Analyst Program is a 10-week internship opportunity in New York, NY. The program begins in June with a 3-day training program providing an overview of Citi and an introduction to Citi’s Internal Audit Organization. Summer Analysts receive real-world work, are paired with Senior and Junior Mentors, and participate in networking opportunities and Senior Speaker Events. The program concludes with Summer Analysts presenting their accomplishments and lessons learned to the Senior IA Management team. Top performing Summer Analysts will be considered for the full time Internal Audit Analyst Programs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct independent assessments of governance, risk management and internal controls
- Deliver independent and timely assurance to key stakeholders
- Collaborate with teams across Citi’s core businesses and global functions
- Participate in structured classroom training, mentoring and individual development
- Network with other Citi interns, program participants and IA professionals
Qualifications
- At least a 3.3 GPA
- Graduating with a Bachelor’s degree between December 2027 and June 2028
- Eligible for U.S. work authorization now and in the future without requiring sponsorship

Pay
Annual Salary: $85,000.00
