Functional Maintenance Coordinator

Responsibilities

• Maintain, inspect, and organize all therapy department equipment and supplies.
• Monitor equipment condition and recommend repairs or replacement as needed.
• Aid therapists in providing safe and effective therapy treatments.
• Support occupational and physical therapy programs according to individualized care plans.
• Participate in resident assessments and functional screenings.
• Assist with documentation and support therapy care planning, including MDS-related activities.
• Help implement functional maintenance programs under the direction of licensed therapists.
• Ensure therapy areas remain clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Promote resident comfort, dignity, and independence throughout therapy sessions.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to support positive resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED.
• Previous experience as a Rehabilitation Technician or Therapy Aide preferred.
• Experience working in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting preferred.
• At least one year of nursing home experience preferred.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
• Ability to safely assist residents with mobility and therapy-related activities.
