Functional Analyst / Tier 2 Helpdesk

About the Role

One Federal Solution is seeking an experienced Functional Analyst / Tier 2 Helpdesk to support a Government Client in Arlington, VA. The successful candidate will provide Tier 2 Helpdesk support for Momentum (UFMS) and FIRST financial management applications, serving as a functional expert responsible for troubleshooting complex user issues, supporting system enhancements, performing testing activities, and ensuring the continued effectiveness of enterprise financial systems. This position requires a strong customer service mindset, analytical problem-solving skills, and hands-on experience supporting federal financial management applications.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 2 Helpdesk support for Momentum (UFMS) and FIRST financial management applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex user issues while documenting resolutions and identifying recurring trends.
• Serve as a functional analyst supporting system enhancements and application improvements.
• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
• Collaborate with customers, developers, and technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Perform system testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing for application updates and enhancements.
• Support Vendor Management processes within the financial management system.
• Administer user security roles and access requests while ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
• Support G-Invoicing processes and resolve functional issues related to federal financial transactions.
• Develop, update, and maintain user guides, training materials, and system documentation.
• Monitor system performance and recommend process improvements to enhance efficiency and user experience.
• Provide excellent customer support while communicating technical information clearly to end users.
• Participate in meetings, planning sessions, and special projects as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive professional experience supporting enterprise financial management systems.
• Prior experience supporting Momentum (UFMS) is required.
• Prior experience supporting FIRST financial management applications is required.
• Experience providing Tier 2 Helpdesk or advanced functional support.
• Experience conducting system testing, regression testing, and user acceptance testing.
• Experience gathering and documenting business requirements.
• Experience supporting user security administration and access management.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting DEA, DOJ, or other Federal Government financial management environments.
• Experience with G-Invoicing.
• Experience supporting Vendor Management within Momentum or UFMS.
• Experience working directly with software developers and technical teams.
• Experience developing end-user documentation and training materials.
• Knowledge of federal financial management policies and procedures.
