Fullstack Engineer

Responsibilities

• Build scalable and maintainable backend services using Kotlin and Ktor
• Work closely with frontend developers to integrate Layer's accounting features into existing software tools
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and user experience
• Develop and maintain robust testing strategies using Kotest/JUnit
• Implement CI/CD pipelines using Github Actions
• Deploy services to a containerized ECS service behind an API Gateway
• Monitor and improve system performance and reliability using Betterstack & Sentry

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience on strong software teams
• Experience with the highs and lows of building new products from scratch
• A track record of growth in team leadership

Qualifications

• Experience with React for embedded components
• Knowledge of Postgres (RDS) database
• Proficiency in ORM like Exposed
• Experience with API frameworks like Ktor
• Strong understanding of API design and security
• Experience with testing frameworks like Kotest/JUnit
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Github Actions
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Betterstack & Sentry
