Fullstack Engineer

About the role

Koalafi is looking for Software Engineers to help build and scale the products and platforms that power our financing solutions. This role offers the opportunity to work across a modern technology stack, contribute to both new and existing systems, and help shape solutions in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

• Build and Deliver Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs
• Build integrations with internal and third-party systems
• Contribute to customer-facing applications and internal tools using modern frontend technologies
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Participate in the design and implementation of distributed systems, workflows, and event-driven architectures
• Support initiatives that improve performance, reliability, and scalability across the platform

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional software engineering experience
• Experience building backend services using Golang
• Working knowledge of REST APIs, HTTP/JSON, authentication mechanisms, and API testing tools
• Experience developing web applications using modern frontend frameworks such as React and TypeScript
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerized environments, preferably AWS and Kubernetes
• Understanding of software engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Desire to learn, grow, and take ownership of technical solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with event-driven architectures and asynchronous messaging patterns
• Experience in fintech, lending, payments, e-commerce, or other highly regulated industries
• Familiarity with observability and monitoring platforms
• Experience working with microservices architectures
• Knowledge of cloud security and secrets management
• Interest in leveraging AI tools to accelerate software development
