About the role

The Full Year Itinerant Associate Teacher position at Stanislaus County Office of Education is responsible for assisting in the planning and implementation of a comprehensive full year child development program for infants/toddlers and preschoolers. The position requires a strong background in child development and a valid Child Development Associate Teacher Permit.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the planning and implementation of a comprehensive full year child development program for infants/toddlers and preschoolers.
  • Provide daily care and supervision to children in accordance with state regulations and guidelines.
  • Implement age-appropriate activities and curriculum to support children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of children's progress and attendance.
  • Participate in regular meetings and trainings to stay updated on best practices and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Graduation from high school required.
  • Enrollment in an Associate or Bachelor degree program preferred.
  • One year experience working with children in an educational setting preferred.
  • Enrollment in Associates or Bachelor’s degree program in child development or related field preferred.
  • Three to six units infant/toddler care development required based on Permit held.
  • California Child Development Associate Teacher Permit or higher level permit.
  • Pediatric CPR/First Aid Certification - in person training required.
  • Copies of Permits should include the name of the permit, permit details, authorizations, and expiration date.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license.
  • Required to provide own transportation and must have proof of insurance.

  • Knowledge of child development theories and practices.

Benefits

  • A Benefit Entitlement for health, dental and vision coverage is available for positions that are at least 4 hours per day.

Pay

$21.75 - $26.64 Per Hour

Schedule

Length of Work Year: 261 days/year, 8 hours/day (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM)
