The School of Computing & Engineering at Quinnipiac University seeks a Visiting Professor in Industrial Engineering to join our dynamic faculty starting early Fall 2026.

About the School/Program

The School of Computing and Engineering was established on July 1, 2016, offering BS and BA degrees in computer science, BS degrees in civil, industrial, mechanical, and software engineering, and MS degrees in Computer Science and cybersecurity. All BS degrees are ABET accredited. Located in the renovated Communications, Computing, and Engineering building, the school provides state-of-the-art facilities and emphasizes high-quality instruction, hands-on training, and meaningful student-faculty relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching courses in several areas and at all levels of industrial engineering
  • Guiding and mentoring students
  • Engagement in university and community service appropriate to interests

Education Requirements

  • PhD in Industrial Engineering, or a closely related field, or students in a PhD program (ABD) will be considered.

Qualifications

  • Abilities to teach courses in a wide variety of industrial engineering topics, including Human Factors, Quality Control, Management, Engineering Economics, and special topics course of the instructors choosing.
  • Preference given to candidates with interest and ability to teach courses in mechanical engineering.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate and effectively communicate with faculty, staff, and students.
  • Knowledge of current trends and practices in the field.
  • Commitment to contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
