Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family, and group therapy services to children, teens, adults, and families
- Complete comprehensive mental health assessments, treatment plans, and clinical documentation in a timely manner
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support clients experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, behavioral challenges, and other mental health concerns
- Collaborate with psychiatrists, case managers, peer support staff, nurses, and other members of the treatment team to coordinate client care
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment approaches based on individual needs and goals
- Support clients and families in developing healthy coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, and problem-solving strategies
- Participate in crisis intervention and safety planning when clinically appropriate
- Maintain ethical, professional, and trauma-informed care practices in accordance with agency, state, and licensing standards
- Provide referrals and connect clients with community resources and supportive services as needed
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, supervision, and ongoing professional development opportunities
- Help foster a welcoming, inclusive, and recovery-oriented environment for clients and families
Requirements
- Master's degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy
- Utah licensure as CSW, ACMHC, AMFT, LCSW, CMHC, or LMFT (or the ability to obtain it before starting)
- Experience working with children preferred
- Solid skills in clinical assessment, treatment planning, and providing therapy
- Comfortable working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a team
- Reliable with documentation and maintaining professional standards
- Committed to ethical practice and ongoing learning
- Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase
