About the Role
The Functional Family Therapist/Clinician provides intensive home-based family therapy services, including assessments, treatment planning, family intervention, and discharge planning to at-risk youth and their families.
Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid assessments to evaluate relational and hierarchical dynamics within the home.
- Engage families quickly to initiate therapy focused on behavior change, reducing risk factors, and enhancing protective factors.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, including Relapse Prevention Plans, to support family stability.
- Assist families in managing crises independently, including on-call support.
- Coordinate with other providers involved with the case to ensure cohesive treatment delivery.
- Potentially receive training in Functional Family Therapy (FFTLLC).
Requirements
- Preferred licensed clinician (e.g., LMHC, LMSW, LMFT, LCAT) or limited permit eligible.
- 1-3 years of experience working with at-risk youth and families in mental health, counseling, or human services.
- Willingness to work community-based settings with flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving history; ability to plan travel efficiently.
- Ability to work with diverse populations and possess organizational skills for timely documentation.
