FULL TIME TELLER

Position Purpose

This position is responsible for a variety of customer service duties while receiving and paying out monies in various forms, maintaining accurate records of all transactions, and providing the highest quality of customer service.

Education & Work Experience

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
• Cash Handling Experience
• Customer Service Experience

Skills & Qualifications

• General PC and peripherals experience
• Prior work experience in Microsoft Word and Outlook preferred
• 10-key skills preferred
• Basic math skills
• Exceptional customer service skills including written and oral
• Exceptional relationship building skills
• Motivated, accurate, and detail oriented
• Able to maintain high degree of discretion and confidentiality
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Able to perform all transactions within the confines of all State and Federal laws and MSB policies and procedures
• Able to learn, follow, and maintain company-provided ongoing education concerning various compliance requirements
• Able to stand for extended periods of time and able to lift 30 pounds

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities

• Always represents MSB in a professional and positive manner. Ensures a positive interaction with customers and non-customers while performing routine financial transactions
• Gains and uses every opportunity to grow personal knowledge of banking products and services
• Performs duties in accordance with MSB policies and procedures. Ensures highest standards of operational excellence
• Demonstrates proficiency in managing customer relationships
• Processes all deposit, savings and loan transactions including complex transactions (i.e. holds, CTRs, stop payments, overdrawn accounts, statement or transaction errors, account openings and closings, etc.)
• Routinely balances transactions and verifies cash totals without variances
• Completes various customer service forms and functions
• Completes various branch operation duties such as Branch Capture, processing night drop, answering phone calls, processing mail transactions, ATM balancing, open and closing duties, etc.
• Identifies potentially fraudulent activity to help prevent loss to the Bank and our customers
• Actively participates in community events to demonstrate MSB’s support for our communities

Schedule/Travel/Status

• In-Branch Position (non-remote)
• Bank reserves the right to move/relocate Teller on a temporary and/or permanent basis to any other branch/location based on staffing needs
• Some travel between branches may be required
• Non-Exempt Employee status
