Full Time State Carded Level II RT Techs - Corpus Christi, TX
About the role
Acuren is currently recruiting for State Carded Level II RT Technicians to support our operation in Corpus Christi, TX | South, TX. These are full-time nested positions; therefore, per diem, travel pay, and mileage reimbursement are not provided.
Location & schedule
- Based in or near Corpus Christi, TX (within approximately a 20-30-mile radius)
- Local candidates only (no per diem) – Relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
- Work schedule is 4x10's with OT as needed
- Starting ASAP
- Must have TWIC card
Required documentation
- High School Diploma/GED or College Degree
- Proof of classroom hours
- Proof of experience hours
- Tx Trainer State Card
- TWIC Card
Responsibilities
- Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
- Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
- Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
- Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
- Organize and report test results
- Perform specialized inspections
- May instruct and supervise others
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
- Certified Level II
- Technical background in NDT methods and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections
- Knowledge of NDT equipment
- Experience in report writing
- 40 Hour Radiation Safety Training
- Industrial Radiographer State Card (Trainee status a plus)
- Valid TWIC card or be able to obtain
- Open to relocating for full time position with no per diem and a 4x10 schedule w/OT as needed
