Full-Time Staff Nurse - Behavioral Health

About the role

Provides specialized nursing care based on biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences principles.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and directing family-centered care for individuals or groups within scope of practice.
• Delivering care addressing physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs across all ages and developmental stages.
• Exercising leadership, performing patient-centered, quality improvement, safety, and evidence-based practices.
• Supporting staff education, mentoring new employees, and fostering team collaboration.
• Engaging in systems-based practice, informatics, and technology duties.
• Potentially rotating across various areas based on patient needs.
• Performing other related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and collaborate effectively.
• Experience with healthcare teams and familiarity with Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (preferably EPIC).
• Minimum one year of healthcare experience preferred.
• BSN required or to be obtained within five years.
• Current Basic Life Support certification and Ohio RN license (Multistate License required).

Schedule

Onsite role working 36 hours/week, nights, every other weekend and holiday, with the flexibility to be assigned to different units as needed.
