Full Time Staff Accountant - Income Tax Preparation

About the role
We are seeking a Full Time Staff Accountant to join our team, focusing on income tax preparation. In this role, you will review and organize client tax documents and information, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. You will prepare tax returns for various entities, including individuals, partnerships, S Corporations, and C Corporations. Additionally, you will perform monthly accounting activities such as reviewing ledgers, reconciling account activity, and making month-end adjusting entries to ensure financial data integrity. You will have the opportunity to work on audit engagements and limited review engagements, contributing to the overall success of our clients.
Responsibilities
- Review and organize client tax documents and information for accuracy and compliance
- Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S Corporations, and C Corporations
- Perform monthly accounting activities, including reviewing ledgers and reconciling account activity
- Make month-end adjusting entries to ensure financial data integrity
- Participate in audit engagements and limited review engagements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification preferred
- Solid understanding of tax laws and accounting principles
- Experience with income tax preparation and accounting activities
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
