About the role
As a Staff Accountant, you'll play a vital role in supporting a portfolio of residential and commercial properties while partnering closely with our property management teams. Your work will directly impact our ability to serve residents, tenants, owners, and associates with excellence.
Responsibilities
- Managing full-cycle accounting for multiple properties
- Processing accounts payable and ensuring timely vendor payments
- Performing bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing monthly financial statements and portfolio reports
- Supporting month-end close processes
- Monitoring deposits, applications, adjustments, and account activity
- Assisting with annual audits and audit schedules
- Managing security deposit reconciliations and refunds
- Collaborating with on-site teams to ensure accurate financial reporting
- Training and supporting property staff on accounting-related processes
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and best practices

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of full-cycle accounting experience
- Strong understanding of cash and accrual accounting
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Property management accounting experience preferred
- Entrata experience preferred
