Full-Time RN Clinical Practice Specialist - Critical Care

About the Role

The RN Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist supports adult critical care by applying advanced clinical expertise, assessment skills, and evidence-based practices to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical guidance and apply evidence-based practices to enhance patient care.
• Identify educational needs and support process improvements within critical care.
• Develop and refine policies and protocols for clinical practice.
• Serve as an educator, mentor, and leader to foster a culture of inquiry, innovation, and professional growth.
• Collaborate with leadership and interdisciplinary teams to drive quality initiatives.
• Participate in research projects and promote best practices through education and mentorship.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Nursing (Doctorate preferred).
• Current RN license in Illinois.
• Minimum of 5+ years of clinical experience in critical care or a related specialty.
• Specialty certification required or must be obtained within one year of assuming the role.
