Full-Time Clinical Nurse Practice Specialist

About the Role

Provide advanced clinical nursing expertise, assess staff development needs, and support care plan improvements. Lead quality initiatives, evaluate practice outcomes, and promote evidence-based, safe, and cost-effective practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs, including competency and transition-to-practice initiatives.
• Mentor and coach clinical staff and educators, fostering professional growth and evidence-based practice adoption.
• Collaborate with leadership and academic partners, participate in research, and advocate for nursing practice advancement.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required; Doctorate preferred.
• 5+ years clinical experience in healthcare or academic settings.
• Expertise in adult learning, excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Current RN license in Illinois, BLS certification, and specialty certification or within one year of role assumption.
• Ability to collaborate effectively, demonstrate leadership, and commit to ongoing professional development.
