About the role
The Clinical Team Leader serves as a charge nurse, providing direct patient care while maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and make decisions for departmental staff
- Develop staffing plans based on patient needs
- Oversee daily unit operations
- Ensure efficient patient flow
- Support quality and organizational goals
- Participate in process improvement initiatives
- Assist with employee evaluations and incident investigations
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Skills
- BSN from an accredited school
- Current RN license in Texas or a compact license
- Relevant clinical certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP
- Advanced specialty certifications (e.g., CCRN, CEN, RNC) or willingness to obtain within 2 years
- Charge nurse training and competencies must be completed within 90 days if external hire
