Full Time Residential Assistant - St. Bridget's
About the role
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is one of New Jersey’s largest non-profit social service agencies with programs and facilities serving Bergen, Essex, Hudson, and Union counties. We are currently seeking a Full Time Residential Assistant for our St. Bridget’s Residence Shelter, located in Newark, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Carries out designated services in the shelter
- Maintains program policies and safety parameters
- Supervises and secures all building areas
- Responds to crisis situations in a manner that safeguards all participants
- Accurately completes required program documentation, including program logs, statistics tracking sheets, incident reports, and work orders
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED and 1-2 years of related experience preferred
- 3 years of experience working with the homeless population in lieu of a HS diploma or GED
