Full-Time Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

About the role

Provides direct and indirect patient care, collaborating with healthcare teams to improve patient outcomes. Utilizes critical thinking, nursing processes, and compassion to deliver high-quality care while respecting patient autonomy and dignity. Performs general nursing duties, patient education, and prioritization, with additional responsibilities as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients accurately based on medical conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications safely.
• Provide age-appropriate care and assist with basic self-care activities.
• Develop and evaluate patient and family education plans.
• Utilize nursing knowledge to perform treatments and services.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for comprehensive care.
• Assist physicians with procedures and perform technical tasks.
• Address psychosocial needs and communicate with social services regarding hospital and post-discharge care.
• Practice cost-effective resource management.
• Prioritize patient care efficiently and promote safety by minimizing harm.
• Commit to lifelong learning in nursing.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Proficiency in computer literacy.
• RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire.
• Preferred: ACLS/PALS certification.
