Full-Time Phlebotomist

About the role

Join our healthcare team as a Full-Time Phlebotomist responsible for accurate specimen collection through venipuncture, heelstick, fingerstick, and arterial puncture, following strict protocols.

Responsibilities

• Instruct patients on specimen collection procedures
• Transport specimens while maintaining integrity
• Ensure compliance with quality and infection control policies
• Perform clerical tasks such as data entry and specimen labeling
• Train new staff on phlebotomy procedures and protocols
• Communicate any issues or concerns to technical teams
• Maintain and organize phlebotomy supplies

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Preferred certification from an accredited phlebotomy program
• At least 6 months of phlebotomy experience
• Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory systems (advantageous)
• Preferred certifications: Phlebotomy Technician (PBT(ASCP))
• Preferred clearances: Act 31, 33, 34, FBI
