Full-Time Phlebotomist

Essential Functions And Accountabilities

• Properly identifies patients.
• Performs and explains the process of the venipuncture and/or other specimen collection as required.
• Cleans and stocks phlebotomy area.
• Maintains clean and stocked phlebotomy area.
• Conducts blood draws, labeling specimens, and centrifuging specimens.
• To store and transport specimen samples according to the different procedures to maintain integrity of the specimen.
• Understands and complies with OSHA and DEP regulations.
• Maintains a cooperative relationship with clinical staff and helps to create a positive experience for our patients.

Position Requirements/Experience

• 3+ years' recent work performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting - required.
• Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and occasional evenings.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; Word, and Outlook - required.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience - required.
