Full Time Patient Services Specialist- Gastonia OUC

About the role

The Patient Services Specialist will work with the OrthoCarolina Gastonia Orthopedic Urgent Care team, Monday through Friday from 12 PM to 9 PM.

Responsibilities

• Prepares paperwork necessary for the patient visit.
• Answers incoming phone calls and directs calls, makes appointments, performs Cashier duties as directed including posting of charges, Collection of co-payments/co-insurance and balances due.
• Follows the process for release of medical information and FMLA/disability forms completion as requested.

Qualifications

• High school graduate and/or associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
• Minimum of one year experience in a medical clinic setting.

Skills

• Excellent customer service skills.
• Working knowledge of insurance.
• Epic/EMR background a plus.
• Medical terminology.
