Full Time Optometrist

About the role

The Spec Shoppe, in partnership with Clarkson Eyecare, is seeking a full-time Optometrist to practice full scope optometry at their St. Joseph, Missouri office. The Spec Shoppe specializes in comprehensive eye exams for all ages and is part of the EyeCare Partners (ECP) network.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the health and development of patient's eyes through comprehensive eye exams
• Apply expertise and retain clinical autonomy with investments in new equipment and infrastructure
• Collaborate with a national medical group of ophthalmologists and optometrists to provide clinically integrated eye care
• Provide efficient, patient-centered care through a world-class support team
• Build an immediate, sustained referral base within the established network

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry degree from an ABO accredited program
• Current Missouri State License
• Passing scores on the state board exam
• Experience in comprehensive eye exams and full scope optometry

Qualifications

• Strong clinical skills and a passion for patient care
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Skills

• Proficiency in clinical software systems
• Knowledge of current optometric practices and technologies
• Ability to manage a busy schedule and prioritize tasks effectively
