About the role

A Nursing Faculty member is responsible for guiding nursing students through their educational journey, serving as a mentor, role model, and facilitator. They apply their clinical and academic expertise to deliver engaging instruction, utilizing diverse teaching methodologies to ensure students achieve learning outcomes. The role includes participating in curriculum assessment, continuous improvement, and maintaining scholarly activities to enhance the educational experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide academic support and mentorship to students.
  • Deliver instruction using innovative teaching strategies and technologies, including simulation labs.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and assessment activities.
  • Maintain professional growth and participate in service activities.
  • If involved in clinical settings, oversee student performance, clarify clinical expectations, and provide immediate and ongoing feedback to ensure safety and learning outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in nursing and active professional nurse licensure.
  • Minimum of two years of clinical nursing experience, with at least one year in the field related to teaching content.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and online learning management systems.
  • Understanding of regulatory standards, including state, federal, and local laws, and compliance with nursing board requirements.
