About the role

Lap of Love Veterinary Hospice is seeking an Associate Veterinarian to join our team in Huntsville, AL and surrounding areas. We offer flexible 2-5 day-per-week schedules, compassionate hospice and euthanasia care, and a supportive community of veterinarians and support professionals.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hospice and euthanasia care for pets and families
• Work with a supportive team of veterinarians and support professionals
• Enjoy flexible scheduling that allows for a balanced life
• Receive ongoing training and mentorship to enhance skills and knowledge

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD/BVMS)
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and up to 100 lbs with assistance

Qualifications

• Experience in hospice and euthanasia care preferred
• Strong communication and empathy skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable working with end-of-life situations

Pay

• 4-day positions starting at $85,000
• 5-day positions offering a base salary of $100,000, plus additional bonus opportunities
