Full-time Mathematics Instructor (Grades 6-8)

About the role

The Full-Time Middle Mathematics Teacher (Grades 6-8) at Seabury Hall is responsible for delivering engaging and student-centered lessons using the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum framework. The position involves teaching grades 6 through 8 mathematics and Algebra I, and may include additional courses.

Responsibilities

• Teach grades 6 through 8 mathematics and Algebra I using the Illustrative Mathematics curriculum framework.
• Develop and implement differentiated instruction strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
• Create a classroom environment that fosters curiosity, persistence, and productive struggle.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance teaching practices and support student learning.
• Participate in school-wide traditions and activities, upholding the school's EPIC values of Empowerment, Passion, Integrity, and Curiosity.

Requirements

• Hold a degree in mathematics or mathematics education.
• Bring proven classroom experience, demonstrating a mastery of the subject matter.

Pay

Salary ranges $60,000 to $75,000 and is commensurate with education and experience.
