Full Time Manager Dairy/Frozen

Cub Northside on Broadway Avenue is seeking a dedicated Full Time Dairy/Frozen Manager to plan and manage the Dairy and Frozen Food Department, promoting sales while achieving profit margins and labor goals. This role ensures a positive shopping experience for customers and a safe, productive environment for associates.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and ensure proper service levels and courtesy from all associates.
• Develop effective daily/weekly work plans based on sales projections, budgeted labor goals, and previous operating results.
• Implement and maintain coordinated, aggressive, and creative merchandising plans using Division guidelines to maximize sales, variety, and gross profit.
• Ensure accurate pricing and signage within the department.
• Supervise Dairy and Frozen Food associates to ensure efficient labor utilization and effectiveness in meeting department objectives.
• Manage receiving, invoicing, pricing, shrink control, and inventory to meet gross profit goals.
• Train and develop dairy/frozen department personnel.
• Supervise department safety and sanitation programs.

Requirements

• Equipment operation (hand jack, power jack, box cutter, flat bed, compactor, broom, mop).
• Able to walk long distances and stand for long periods of time.
• Memorization, reading, writing, and math skills.
• Ongoing customer interaction with prompt, courteous, and accurate service.
• Good judgment, as direct supervision may not always be available.
• Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions; write identifying information; request supplies verbally or in writing.
• Must be able to work shifts varying in length and time, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Lifting/carrying up to 70 lbs.
• Pushing/pulling up to 2500 lbs.
• Walking on uneven ground.
• Reaching, bending, repetitive motions.
• Working in sub-zero temperatures for extended periods.

Schedule

• Overnight availability starting between 10:00 pm - 2:00 am ($1 overnight premium pay per hour).
• 4:00 am - 12:00 pm (no overnight premium pay).

Pay

UNFI anticipates paying a competitive rate for this position, with actual pay dependent on factors such as education, experience, training, and applicable collective bargaining agreements.
