Apartment Maintenance Technician Duties and Responsibilities
- Respond to maintenance requests
- Conduct regular inspections following HUD & RD regulations and safety issues
- Prepare apartments for move-in of new residents and fix aesthetic damage and clean after tenants move out
- Contact third-party technicians when necessary
- Document all repairs made on our properties
- Perform ad hoc painting, electrical, plumbing and carpentry duties as well as lawn care maintenance during that time of year
- Resolve tenants' maintenance-related queries and complaints as they arise
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience as an apartment maintenance technician or in a similar role
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift to 50 pounds without assistance
- Dexterity and attention to detail
- Valid NY State driver’s license free of any major infractions at time of hire and throughout employment
- Must have reliable transportation
- Required to carry an off-hours cell phone and answer emergency calls (frequency based on site and regional needs)
- Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
Pay
Pay Range: $19 - $22 per hour
