Full-Time Lecturer of Interpreting
for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Only include sections that have real specific content. We must not repeat job title as heading. Must not include Job ID etc. Must preserve all substantive info, remove boilerplate (cookie/navigation/legal/EEO etc). Must not include sections with filler like "commensurate with experience" etc. Pay section: we have salary range and anticipated hiring range. That's specific numbers, so we can include Pay section. Benefits: there is a line "Information on excellent benefits package available to CSULB faculty is located here: CSU Employee Benefits". That's a link but not detailed. Might be considered not specific enough? The instruction: never create Benefits sections unless posting actually states them. It does state there is an excellent benefits package and a link. That's somewhat specific but not details. Might be okay to include Benefits with that sentence. Schedule: not mentioned. So omit Schedule.
We need sections: About the role (maybe a summary), Responsibilities (Duties), Requirements (Required Qualifications), Qualifications (Preferred Qualifications), Skills (maybe combine? but we can include Skills if there is content like interpreting technologies etc). Could also have Qualifications covering both required and preferred. But we need to follow headings list: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We'll include those with content.
We must not invent or summarize away detail. Must preserve all substantive info. So we need to include all details from posting, but we can format as lists.
We need to remove boilerplate: EEO, equal opportunity, scam warning, application instructions (How to Apply), etc. Also remove navigation, cookie, legal. Also remove "Employment Requirements" background check etc? That is legal/employment requirement; might be considered boilerplate? It's not EEO but it's about background check etc. The instruction: remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate. So legal stuff like background check, mandated reporter, etc should be removed. Also "All university program and activities are open..." etc. Remove that.
Thus we keep: Position info, Effective Date, Salary Range, Anticipated hiring range, Salary offered is commensurate... (but that's filler? It's a phrase "commensurate with qualifications and experience." That's vague; we might avoid including it as filler? The instruction: never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD") and never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless posting actually states them. The phrase "Salary offered is commensurate with qualifications and experience." is filler; we should not include that as a separate sentence? But we need to preserve ALL substantive information; does that count as substantive? It's basically saying salary will be based on qualifications, which is already implied by range. Might be considered filler. Safer to omit that sentence.
We keep: Position: Full-Time Lecturer of Interpreting Effective Date: August 17, 2027 (Fall Semester) Salary Range: The Full-Time Lecturer B (Academic Year) classification salary is $71,100 to $151,128 per academic year (paid as 12 monthly payments). The anticipated hiring range is $85,000 to $90,000 per year.
Also include info about CSULB being HSI, AANAPISI, Seal of Excelencia, Black Excellence Collegium, El Concilio, President’s Equity and Change Commission, Beach 2030 University Action Plans. That's about the institution; could go under About the role or maybe a separate section? We have About the role heading; we can put that info there.
Then Department info: College of Liberal Arts Department of Romance, German, Russian Languages and Literatures — Translation Studies Program.
Then Required Qualifications list.
Then Preferred Qualifications list.
Then Duties list.
Then maybe Skills: we could extract skills from duties and qualifications: interpreting technologies, remote interpreting platforms, consecutive/simultaneous interpreting, sight translation, etc. But we might avoid duplication. Could create Skills section summarizing specific skills: e.g., proficiency with interpreting technologies, remote interpreting platforms, consecutive and simultaneous interpreting, sight translation, court/legal, medical/healthcare, educational, community, conference interpreting, professional ethics, curriculum development, partnership building, etc. But we must not invent; we can pull from duties and qualifications.
Better to have Skills section that lists specific skills mentioned: e.g., "Use of interpreting technologies and remote interpreting platforms", "Teach consecutive and simultaneous interpreting", "Sight translation", "Professional ethics", "Curriculum development", "Supervise interpreting labs, practica, internships", "Prepare students for certification exams", "Build partnerships with courts, healthcare institutions, schools, governmental agencies, nonprofits, community organizations", "Integrate real-world case studies, simulations, community-based practicum", "Train students in active listening, memory development, consecutive note-taking, voice and delivery, rapid processing and reformulation, cultural mediation, pragmatics, ethical decision-making", "Develop online or hybrid interpreting courses", "Experience with terminology-management tools, AI-assisted interpreting tools", "Multilingual proficiency", etc.
But we must ensure we don't invent; we can list those as bullet points.
Benefits: we have "Information on excellent benefits package available to CSULB faculty is located here: CSU Employee Benefits". We'll include that as a paragraph.
Pay: we have salary range and anticipated hiring range. We'll include that.
Schedule: not present, omit.
