Full-Time Lecturer - Engineering Technology (AY 26/27) Solano Campus

Responsibilities

This position involves teaching core and elective Engineering Technology engineering courses. Responsibilities also include collaborating with colleagues in a multidisciplinary setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Engineering Technology or related field
• Demonstrated experience and commitment to student-centered learning and teaching
• Demonstrated proficiency in written and oral use of the English language

Qualifications

• Preference will be given to candidates with a Master’s degree or higher in engineering, engineering technology or engineering management
• Experience with laboratory-based instruction
• Industry experience
• Excellence in university level teaching and research (commensurate with time since degree)
• Experience working with diverse populations and fostering a collaborative, supportive, and inclusive environment
• Current U.S. Coast Guard 2nd Engineer license or higher with appropriate STCW endorsements
• Interests and expertise in more than one technical area
• Engineering leadership role experience
• Ledger training experience

Pay

The classification salary ranges for the respective ranks are:

• Lecturer A: $5,507-$6,677
• Lecturer B: $6,221-$13,224
• Lecturer C: $6,825-$14,523
• Lecturer D: $8,593-$15,211
