Full Time Lead Teacher

About the role

The Goddard School in Rochester, MI is seeking energetic, nurturing lead teachers to join our team. We provide a safe, dynamic, and nurturing environment for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers in a full-day childcare and preschool setting.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging curricula based on children's interests
• Observe children's development and collaborate with other teachers to create a cohesive educational experience
• Communicate regularly with parents through various means such as mobile apps and personal discussions
• Engage with other infant, toddler, and preschool teachers to share ideas and grow professionally
• Follow strict health and safety guidelines to ensure a secure learning environment

Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with children in a childcare or preschool setting
• Ability to maintain a positive and nurturing attitude
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• At least one year of teaching experience preferred
• Valid CPR and First Aid certification

Skills

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles
