This is a role for a skilled craftsman who takes pride in doing things right the first time, communicates naturally with customers, leads by example, and is ready to grow alongside a brand-new business.

What You'll Do

  • Perform high-quality home repair projects as the most experienced craftsman on every job
  • Represent TruBlue in customers' homes — clear communication, respectful conduct, clean work
  • Provide on-site estimates for additional work when appropriate
  • Support day-to-day operations: scheduling input, materials, quality control
  • Document work with photos and complete job paperwork
  • As the team grows, lead and mentor new Tru-Pro® technicians
  • Uphold TruBlue's high standard of professionalism and customer care

Common Projects Include

  • Bathroom and kitchen upgrades
  • Drywall repair and finishing
  • Flooring installation and repair
  • General carpentry — trim, molding, built-ins
  • Interior and exterior painting
  • Basic plumbing and electrical work
  • Tile installation and repair
  • Door and window repair
  • Deck, fence, and gate repair
  • Senior safety upgrades — grab bars, ramps, accessible fixtures

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds
  • Climb ladders and work at heights
  • Work in attics and crawl spaces
  • Kneel, bend, and stand for extended periods
  • Drive to multiple job sites daily

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on residential home repair or remodeling experience
  • Broad multi-trade skill set with strong carpentry foundation
  • Strong customer communication and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring other technicians is preferred
  • Comfortable using a smartphone for photos and scheduling apps
  • Valid Texas driver's license, clean driving record, reliable transportation, and full toolset
  • Fluent in English; bilingual English/Spanish is a strong plus
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Willing to complete background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screen
