Full Time Laboratory Technician I

About the role

Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company, providing analytical testing services to ensure the safety, authenticity, and accuracy of products across multiple industries, including food, water, medicines, and more. As a Part-Time Laboratory Technician I in the Registration Department, you will play a key role in managing outsourced samples, coordinating logistics, and maintaining accurate records to support timely Certificate of Analysis (COA) release for clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage outsourced samples with partner Eurofins laboratories to ensure timely COA release for clients.
• Prepare samples for shipment to sister labs or contract labs for subcontracted work.
• Process online electronic orders from clients and sister labs.
• Coordinate with external and internal courier services to ensure timely sample delivery.
• Assist in logistics coordination for courier routes as needed.
• Follow Quality System documents, including Quality Manual, SOPs, and Methods.
• Register incoming samples and maintain accurate records of work performed for quality control and regulatory purposes.
• Enter sample data into Eurofins' labware management system accurately and promptly.
• Maintain supply inventory and adhere to quality, health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Identify process difficulties and propose solutions to supervisors.
• Maintain cooperative working relationships with colleagues across departments.
• Promote the company’s image through ethical business practices.
• Strive to improve work quality through existing and new technologies.
• Perform aseptic preparation and processing of samples, including associated process controls.
• Conduct all activities safely and efficiently.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (required).
• AS or BS degree in Microbiology, Food Sciences, Chemistry, Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field (preferred).
• Experience in plating, plate reading, and sample preparation.
• Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with self-motivation and adaptability.
• Ability to learn new techniques, multitask, keep accurate records, and follow instructions.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Schedule

Tuesday - Saturday, 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM.
